HD Video: Ryan Montbleau, Brooklyn Bowl, NYC, 4/15/11

Ryan Montbleau must’ve enjoyed playing Brooklyn Bowl as much as we love being there. Throughout his first appearance at Brooklyn Bowl, the Boston-native treated us to fan favorites like “75 and Sunny” and “Songbird” and a new song during his one long set Friday night. It was our first time seeing this new band lineup with Lyle Brewer on electric guitar taking over for fiddler Lawrence Scudder. I liked what Brewer added to the songs, stepping up when he felt appropriate–and careful not to step on any toes. Playing to a mostly female crowd (yeah, and you thought that wasn’t possible for the jam band scene?!) Montbleau brought opening band, Dwight and Nicole, for the last few songs of his set. Enjoy these vids from the evening…
