Steve Kimock and Friends at Sullivan Hall, NYC
The third and final night of Steve Kimock’s residency at Sullivan Hall found him exploring unkown rhythmic territories and stretching out into far-reaching grooves with the help of John Molo on drums, Andy Hess on bass, and Pete Sears on keys. Kimock loosened up through most of the first set–clearly comfortable with Molo’s deep pockets that were left open for him to fill with driving solos. Towards the end of second set Kimock took to the mic for Slow Down–a rarity for the laidback guitarist.
